The Godhead - Part I

Let's look at one of our most distinctive separating messages, the Godhead.

Heb. 1:3...who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person.....

It's noteworthy and quite significant likewise, to know that this is the only time throughout scripture that God is referred to as a person. John 4:24 God is Spirit...Luke 24:39 a Spirit hath not flesh and bones. Emphasis on bones not blood, why? Jesus’ resurrected body didn’t have blood. Why? 1 Cor. 15:50… flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. We don't take our blood to heaven.
Matt. 16:17… flesh and blood hath not revealed it, but my father which is in heaven. In this portion of scripture Jesus plainly proves that the father is not a person; my father doesn't have flesh and blood, he is a Spirit.
So, in Heb.1:3 Jesus is the image of the invisible God, mirror image. Gen. 1:27 God created man in his own image. Philippians 2:6 Who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God....made in the likeness of man.
This is why Jesus could say "he that hath seen me, hath seen the father”. He states in John 10:30 I and my father are one, and again in Eph.4:4 One LORD...one God and father of all...

To be continued...
