The Godhead - Part IV
In the beginning God created. Col. 1:16 For by him were all things created...Jesus. Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Jesus and the Father are one. In the Gospel as according to St. John 14:5 Thomas saith unto him{Jesus} Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Jesus told his disciples, if you know me, you know my Father. If you know him, you have seen him. Where have they seen him? In JESUS. John 14:8 Phillip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. In other words, we would be satisfied if you would just show us the Father. Verse 9, Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? A span of three years and the disciples still don't have a pure revelation of who Jesus is. We need a revelation of the Mighty God in Christ. Don't wait, don't procrastinate, get to know Jesus today.
Revelation; God wants to reveal himself to you today. That is the purpose of all creation. So God could reveal himself. Romans 1:20 Invisible things are clearly seen by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead. Why did God create light? Revelation. Why did God create waters? Revelation, etc.,etc. God did all things to reveal himself.
John 14:9 He that hath seen me, hath seen the Father.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Eph. 4:4 one body, one Spirit, one hope, One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father....These seven unities are to be kept.
