The Godhead - Part III
Jesus is the mighty God in Christ. Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my Salvation… Matt. 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. The God of Isa.12:2, is the JESUS of Matt.1:21. And there can only be salvation in one name, Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Jesus is the only saving name.
Because it "pleased the Father that in him{Jesus} should all the fullness dwell, and "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, Col.1:19,Col.2:9. One must clearly see that Jesus was not in the Godhead, the Godhead was in Jesus; "all the fullness of the Godhead was in his body.” Not a third of the Godhead, but ALL the Godhead was in Jesus’ body. This is why Jesus could say Matt. 28:18 All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. What part of all do we not understand? Colossians 1:15-19, the word all is used 6 times in these 5 verses.
All means everyone, everybody, everything, nobody else; all the fullness was in his body.
