The Godhead - Part II
Let's dive deeper into this stationary, unmovable framework of reference,
"The Godhead"
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Now, the child who was born was Isa. 7:14 "Immanuel" i.e. God with us. And that ‘God with us’ was the same God that the Apostle Paul was in reference to in 1Tim. 3:16 "God was manifest in the flesh". Isaiah said that the child that would be born was the everlasting Father. Psalm 90:2…even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. God is eternal; Deut. 33:27 "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms".
What does Mr. Webster say about the word eternal? Eternal=Having infinite duration, EVERLASTING, continued without intermission.
Clearly defining Jesus as the everlasting Father, Rev. 1:8 states, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Jesus said, “I am the Almighty.” Matt. 28:18 All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Jesus is Almighty, all powerful, Omnipotent. These verses are mirror images of Gen. 17:1 "I am the Almighty God." Old Testament or New Testament, there can only be one Almighty. Jesus is the Almighty, Omnipotent, all powerful God.
John 1:14 clearly states that…the word that was made flesh, and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father. Begotten, [to procreate as the Father], Jesus was begotten. He had a beginning; the beginning was in Bethlehem's manger. It was the Spirit that was in the man Christ Jesus that was eternal. The Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary, and she conceived. The Holy Ghost was that which impregnated Mary. The Holy Ghost was the Father. John 4:24 God is a Spirit… capital S= Holy Spirit. 1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1John 5:20 states "…even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
